This is a well known brand with a high level of reliability, accuracy and support and there is a lot of technical information already available about it direct from the manufacturer on the web ( i.e. http://en-us.fluke.com/products/clamp-meters/fluke-324-clamp-meter.html) so there is nothing I could really add to this. I have no way of knowing if it is measuring correctly and am relying on the manufacturers calibration and reputation which based on my previous experience at work with their other products has always been the case. I purchased this meter to accurately measure electrical motor currents while the motor is being driven by a variable speed drive (VSD) at different speeds or frequencies, and at different loads. Being a TRUE RMS CURRENT meter it is one of the few meters that can do this for variable frequency AC. Most current clamp meters are not true RMS ammeters and so will not give the correct readings. I have compared this meter to a cheap current clamp and also the built in ammeter on the variable speed drive and it appears that the cheap current clamp reads around 10% too low and the ammeter on the VSD reads nearly 20% too low. This meter is easy to use and does have some useful extra features like being able to measure voltage/Capacitance and Temperature. These are not essential to its primary job but are nice to have.
