The Master Lock Solid Die-Cast Combination Padlock 178D offers strength, security, style and weather protection. The padlock allows you to set and reset your own combination with any 4 digit code you choose offering thousands of possible combinations.
The 178D is 2 inches wide and the body's black powder coating makes it deal for marine or other corrosive environments. The 5/16 inch diameter shackle is 1 inch long and made of hardened steel which offers extra resistance to cutting and sawing.

The lock is a lock. The first set we got was not functional. We wrote a negative review of it, and HNS sent replacements even without our asking. We never even complained to HNS. They were concerned enough about their business, their products, and their customers, to read the reviews and rectify the problem without even being asked, When is the last time you got service like that from Amazon?
